Buyer's Guide to this Byron Bay Neighbourhood
Kay Wilkie has been living in Byron Bay since 1970 and serving the area since 1987.
Lower rent and convenience attracts renters
There’s a lot of renters out here because it’s affordable.
Renters are also attracted by the fact that living here you don’t have to come into town to go shopping, you’ve got the IGA and you’ve got a bottle shop, you’ve got a tavern now, and you’ve got the chemist - you don’t need to come into town in the traffic!
You can ride your bike and go to Belongil and have a lovely swim and go to the Treehouse and have a lovely cocktail and pizza, which is what we do sometimes.
Recent changes are driving price growth
Sunrise is starting to be on the rise, so to speak.
Sunnybrand Chicken has been bought and sold out, so with the smelly chicken farm gone, and it’s got the tavern, there's a big shopping centre going to be in there soon, as well as a new resort, it's really starting to come up in the world, and prices are moving up too.
